Legendary Aussie rockers Darryl Cotton, Jim Keays and Russell Morris will deliver the real thing to RedFest on Sunday 5th September at the Cleveland Showgrounds.
The golden age of Australian rock ‘n’ roll will be relived as they perform songs drawn from an enormous repertoire of music which between them, includes more than 40 records and numerous chart-topping hits.
Russell Morris’ claim to musical fame was created through his collaboration with his then manager Ian “Molly” Meldrum in 1969 producing the psychedelic masterpiece, The Real Thing.
Darryl Cotton was a founding member of ‘60s rock band Zoot, famous for their pink-tinged image and their hard-rocking rendition of the Beatles classic, Eleanor Rigby.
The Masters Apprentices front man, Glasgow-born Jim Keays, is known to some as one of the original “bad boys” of Australian rock n’ roll and was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1998.
As Cotton, Keays and Morris, this unique legendary threesome will entertain with iconic songs that set the standards and shaped the future for Australian rock music The songs we will recognise at RedFest will be such as Who Listens to the Radio, Hush, and Living in a Child’s Dream, as well as some new melodies penned since the lads began touring together in 2000.
