Redland Spring Festival is an annual music and cultural festival held yearly in September in Cleveland, just 25 minutes east of Brisbane on beautiful Moreton Bay. It is Redland City’s premier event and boasts musicians and artists from across the globe.
What date and time is RedFest on?
RedFest 2012 is on Friday 7th September from 5pm to 9pm, Saturday 8th September from 9am to 9pm and Sunday 9th September 9am to 4pm.
Where is RedFest held?
Norm Price Park (Redland Showgrounds). Located on the corner of Smith and Long Streets, Cleveland QLD 4157.
What time do the gates open?
The gates open from 5pm to 9pm on Friday 7th September, 9am to 9pm on Saturday 8th September and 9am to 4pm on Sunday 9th September.
How much are entry tickets?
Prices start at $12 Adult, $5 Child and $8 concession. Check out the savings on our early bird weekend ticket purchase.
How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are available on-line prior to the festival and daily at the entry gate.
Are there pensioner discounts?
Yes, concession cards are accepted. See listing for eligible cards.
How do I receive my tickets?
If you purchase your ticket online, you will need a printer to print your ticket. A wristband will be issued to you at the gate upon producing your ticket.
Do I have to wear a wristband?
Yes, it is a condition of festival entry.
Can I get a refund for my ticket?
No.
What is included for the entry fee?
Entry to performances, displays, workshops (unless otherwise stated) and exhibits.
What is there for the kids to do?
Kids are KING with a venue and program just for them. Included in the entry price are performances, workshops, animal farm, miniature horses and have a go circus just to name a few. On Saturday evening 8th September, there is an illuminating lantern parade followed by spectacular fireworks and a kids disco for under 10’s.
Are there rides at RedFest?
Yes, sideshow alley will be at the Festival. The cost of rides is not included in the entry price.
Do you have Credit Card and Eftpos facilities available at the festival?
Credit Card and Eftpos facilities are available for entry at the gates and through some merchants.
Is there an ATM at the festival?
Yes. Cash out can be obtained at the Festival Office.
Is there disabled access?
Yes, all venues are wheelchair accessible.
Is First Aid available on site?
Yes, there is First Aid available during festival hours.
Will there be food available?
Yes, there will be food vendors at the Festival and a diverse range of food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Can I bring alcohol to the Festival?
No, alcohol is not permitted to be brought onto the Premises.
Can I purchase alcohol at the Festival?
Yes, there are designated areas for purchase and consumption of alcohol.
Will there be parking available?
There is street parking or an on-site car park. The car park entry is near the Redland Museum, Smith Street Cleveland QLD
Is there a car parking fee?
Yes, $5 for all day parking in the car park.
What night are the fireworks on?
The Fireworks are on Saturday night only (8th September 2012) and will directly follow the Lantern Parade which commences at approximately 6pm.
Can I buy merchandise at RedFest?
Festival merchandise is available from the Information Booth (Strawberry Plaza Venue).
Is there a lost property area?
Yes. There is a lost and found property area located at the Information Booth (Strawberry Plaza Venue). Lost and Found inquiries can be made post festival to RedFest on (07) 3286 4858 or via email to admin@redfest.com.au.
I have a Carer. Can they receive free entry to the festival?
RedFest supports the Companion Card Scheme. Only one companion ticket will be issued per companion card. Companion card must be produced at the entry gate.
Who owns RedFest?
RedFest is a not-for-profit community organisation – a festival delivered by the community, for the community. Each year a hardworking volunteer Committee develops the program for RedFest and actively seeks sponsorship to support the cost of producing the event for Festival Patrons. A host of volunteers then support the smooth running of the festival during the weekend.
Who are the Festival Sponsors and Supporters?
RedFest Sponsors and Supporters are displayed on the RedFest Website at www.redfest.com.au and include Redlands Sporting Club, Victoria Point Shopping Centre, National Australia Bank, Bayside Bulletin/Redland Times, Redland City Council, Propeller Graphic Design & Marketing, 4BH and the Soundshed.
Who is playing at the Festival?
RedFest endeavours to provide fantastic entertainment every year with artists from across the globe and locally. The RedFest website is updated regularly with Performer Information and can be accessed by clicking on the festival program tab located on the home page.
Can I volunteer at the Festival?
Yes. Applications are open for Volunteers. We have a wide variety of areas to volunteer in and all Volunteers receive a free weekend entry ticket. Applications can be made on-line through the website or by phoning the office for a form on (07) 3286 4858.
Can I perform at the Festival?
RedFest supports performers from all aspects of the community. Expressions of interest open early in the year and interested performers can apply directly through the website.
Can I have a stall at the Festival?
Yes. Applications are invited from interested stall holders to hold a site at RedFest. Applications open around May and can be accessed directly through our website.
Is there public transport available to and from the Festival?
